Akikor Literary Collective is an organization that prides itself on being a home for the African creative. We are a continent of over 1.5 billion people, representing almost 20% of the world’s population. Many of us are creative with stories to tell, but we often lack a place to share them, revisit our stories, or collectively preserve them. Akikor Literary Collective is that space. We put the creative first, providing ways for upcoming authors and poets to earn compensation for their work while still maintaining the creative rights to their work after we publish it. We store these contributions for future reference and for lovers of words to learn about Africa from the pens and mouths of Africans.

Founded by Meloseri Dumnoi

Meloseri Dumnoi has been blessed with the purpose of boosting the economic development of the African continent through education in the social sciences and media. Akikor Literary Collective is one of the ways she plans to do so. She takes this God-given purpose very seriously and is constantly looking for ways to innovate, create, and ensure that God is shown through her work while she puts Africa on the map (properly not in the way we’ve been depicted).
